  1. I wish I'd had the confidence to just leave this blog post as it is, but I feel it needs a little explanation. This was another rotten performance and I have no confidence that Oniki will do anything about this terrible form. I don’t want to single out Suzuki as he’s not a right back, but he shouldn’t be playing there from the start of a game. The news that Maguinho is not even taking part in practice games during training is pretty chilling, yet unsurprising. Morita is potentially a great player but has been making mistake after mistake for game after game. Could this be a season too far for Kengo? He’s not justifying his selection at the moment yet seems undroppable. The horrendous corner mix up around the 23rd minute is yet another sign of that. Leandro Damiao should probably be starting but I have given Chinen the nod as whilst he’s scoring he doesn’t deserve to be dropped. He wasn’t as effective in this game as he was against Matsumoto though. Oniki’s subs come too late and aren’t working. He’s run out of ideas, perhaps never really had that many ideas in the first place.
Sure, we’re always terrible against Cerezo, but when they’re as bad as they were in this game, time wasting from the start of the game, and our best creative attacking passes are coming from Nara, who presumably Oniki will drop soon, we’ve got big problems. We’re losing touch in the league already and it’s painful to watch.
